The value of diamonds is accessed according to 5
factors, popularly known as the “five Cs”
Carat weight weight of stone
Colour The grade of colour, either the relative “whiteness”, or the rarity and disirability of fancy colours
Clarity Clarity, or relative freedom from inclusions
Cut The style and quality of cut
Confidence The 5 cs of Diamond

Stones in these grades look colorless face-up; slight traces of color will not be apparent in mounted stones to other than the trained eye
Small stones in this range will look colorless face-up when mounted, but large ones will be tinted
Mounted stones in these grades will display a yellowish tint evento the untrained eye.
